The Macallan Edition No. 5 Single Malt Scotch Whisky celebrates Macallan’s extensive natural color spectrum and the intricate whisky-making process in partnership with masters at the Pantone Color Institute™ - to create the unique shade of purple featured on the packaging. Released in 2019, Edition No.5 was matured in a blend of American oak casks selected from three distinguished bodegas, chosen mainly for their shade and coloring, namely; first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, second-fill hogshead/butts, first-fill Vasyma Cooperage butts, first-fill Tevasa Cooperage hogshead/butts, and first-fill Hudosa Cooperage hogshead/butts. Bottled at 48.5% ABV, this highly collectible limited-edition expression from the iconic Macallan distillery opens with a nose offering sweet notes of caramel, jasmine flowers, and fresh oranges. About the brand
