Exceptionally crafted and utterly bespoke, Estate Soul of a Lion from Daou Vineyards has become one of California’s most celebrated Bourdeaux-style wines. This featured bottling of 2019 Soul of a Lion carries on this legacy of inspiration with an explosion of rich flavor and vivid aromatics. Composed of a select blend of free-run Cabernet grape varietals, namely; 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Petit Verdot - this luscious ruby red wine is aged for 22 months in carefully curated bois rose French oak barrels. The staves of these custom barrels are first aged for 5 years before they are committed to coopering – adding a unique and proprietary finish to the Soul of a Lion series. After bottling, the wine is rested for an undisclosed amount of time before being released.
