The Michter's 10 Rye is a robust and rich rye whiskey, with a profoundly fruity palate full of cherry, dark fruit and cola, offset by complex baking spice, subtle pepper and a velvety mouthfeel that culminates in a peanut, chocolate and oak-dominant finish.

Unique Toasted Warmth

Nose: Honey, heat, and baking spice. The senses settle in, and picked up dried orchard fruit in the background. | Taste: Medium bodied and angel food cake. Second taste, longer finish and notes of candied orange, rye spice, and oak. | Finish: This is a sipper for sure, as the palate adjusts to the boozy nature up front.

"There’s plenty going on in this whiskey, regardless of the alcohol content. The standard against which I measure most ryes is the E.H. Taylor Straight Rye, and decided I like the Michter’s 10 better in a side-by-side comparison. (That’s saying something, because I really like the E.H. Taylor.) There’s just a warmth and toasted quality here that other ryes don’t typically have."
