Founded in the early 2000s by Ian Jones and James Stubbs, Barr an Uisce is a brand of Irish Whiskey produced in the county of Wicklow, Ireland - known as the Garden of Ireland. Originally from the town of Redcross, Ian's family has a long history in the whiskey industry, owning numerous pubs around Wicklow throughout the 1800s. Stubbs, on the other hand, was both a musician and an IT executive. The two combined the idea of celebrating the history, traditions, and taste of authentic Irish whiskey during a dram at a pub called Ó Domnaill Rua. This collaboration gave birth to a one-of-a-kind whiskey with roots in the deep green countryside and connections to the history of the County of Wicklow. Today, Barr an Uisce is a celebrated producer of Irish whiskey, winning multiple awards including double gold at the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Offering various aged selections under its 1803 Single Malts line as well as Wicklow special blends, Barr an Uisce Irish Whiskey is on the rise to becoming one of Ireland's leaders in authentically crafted, masterfully curated Irish whiskey!
